Laleston Community Council meets through Full Council and three working committees. All meetings are open to the public — agendas are published in advance and minutes shortly after.

Full Council

The principal decision-making body — meets monthly to set policy, agree the budget, and decide on matters affecting the wards.

Finance Committee

Scrutinises the Council’s budget, financial regulations, payments and annual accounts. Meets approximately every two months.

Biodiversity & Allotment

Oversees the Council’s green spaces, allotments, and biodiversity obligations under the Environment (Wales) Act 2016.

Oversees project delivery, community wellbeing initiatives, and biodiversity-related programmes. Meets approximately every two months.

Attending a meeting

All Full Council and committee meetings are open to the public. To attend, simply turn up at the venue 5 minutes before the start time. Meetings are usually held at Blandy Hall or Bryntirion Community Centre — check the specific committee page for the location.

If you’d like to speak about a specific item, contact the Clerk at least three working days in advance. Council reserves a public participation slot of up to 15 minutes at the start of each meeting.

Meeting dates for the year are confirmed at the May Annual Meeting. The Council’s annual calendar is published on each committee page once available.
