FSG/17/1 Apologies

FGS/17/2 Applications for Grant Funding
Applications received since 2.11.16
The Clerk confirmed that the following donation have been given since the last FSG meeting held on 2nd November, 2016:-
Marie Curie – £360.00
The Royal British Legion (Poppies for lamp posts) £200.00
OAP’s Christmas Lunch £427.82
BCBC (Summer Playscheme 2016) – £2318.54
Smith of Derby (Service of the Laleston Church Clock) – £265.20
Trelales School (outdoor play equipment) – £8000.00
Applications for Funding Requests
The Clerk confirmed that the following applications for Grand Funding have been received:-
• E-mail received from Cllr Ian Spiller asking for the Council if they would consider partnering with the Broadlands Association to help fund this year’s event which is estimated to cost in the region of £14,000.
RESOLVED: That a recommendation be made to Council of a donation of £6000 be granted.
• Letter received from Bobath Children’s Therapy Centre Wales to assist with children that have cerebral palsy.
RESOLVED: That a recommendation be made to Council of a donation of £500 be granted.
FSG/17/3 Draft Budget Proposals 2017/18
The Clerk produced a document of budget proposals for the year 2017/18.
RESOLVED:
Cllr Briony Davies confirmed that a budget of £5000 for the Pilgrims Trail was no longer needed.
Cllr Cheryl Green confirmed that a budget of £8000 be reserved for the installation of 2 bus shelters.
Cllr Tong Berrow confirmed that the play area at Barnes Avenue requires some updating.
Cllr Briony Davies requested that consideration be given to the purchase of defibrillators at all the schools, this item has been forwarded to the Agenda for 16th March, 2017.
FSG/16/26 Budget and Financial Report
The Clerk produced a spreadsheet of current budget spend.
RESOLVED: That this item be forwarded to the next Council Meeting.
