NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a meeting of the BIODIVERSITY & ALLOTMENT COMMITTEE will be held at Blandy Hall on Tuesday 7 October 2025 at 6.30pm.  The agenda for the meeting is set out below:

This is a public meeting and members of the public and press are welcome to attend to observe proceedings. 

1. To receive apologies for absence.
2. Representation from members of the public.
3. Items of business that the Chair deems urgent.
4. To receive Declarations of Interest (if any) of Members in respect of the business to be transacted.
5. To schedule a calendar of meetings for the next year
6. To receive Minutes of previous meetings held on 20 May 2025 and consider matters arising from the Minutes but not included in the agenda.

Biodiversity items

• As agreed at Council, following on from the completed purchase of the land at Broadlands, CF31 5EX, meet with voluntary group who currently maintain the Wildflower Meadow sited on the plot of land to ascertain ways of working together in the future.
• To receive information on One Voice Wales Biodiversity Packages and to agree to undertake a biodiversity study of Wordsworth Park area, as recommended by Council.

Allotment items

• To receive notice of any relinquished plots.
• To receive an update on waiting list and plot allocations.
• To receive an update on site inspections.
• To receive feedback from plot holders.
• To receive quotations, if any.
• To agree a screening policy for members of the public on waiting list.
• To agree on a response / way forward with regards to an ex-plot holder challenging the repayment of her allotment clearance.

General

14. To receive any recommendations from other Committees or Council.

15. To review the Committee’s Meeting dates and consider any matters relevant to the Committee     for discussion at the next meeting.
