Laleston Community Council currently has a vacancy for a Councillor which will be filled through the process of co-option. Co-opted Councillors have the same rights and responsibilities as those Councillors who obtain office through election. The position of Community Councillor does not attract any remuneration. Councillors are expected to attend the monthly meetings of the Council and also to serve on a number of Committees which normally meet on a quarterly cycle.
