Laleston Community Council provided £7,500 to create a door from the classroom and fund to develop the sensory garden.
The infant school’s Blue Room sensory garden for the observation class was created after five pupils from Bryntirion Comprehensive joined forces with caretaker Lyndon Borge to complete all the hard graft, from digging to laying slabs and erecting fences.
Brandon Sanders, Jack Jones, Jordan Pinches, Nicolas Neilly, and Dylan James-Short, all Year 10 pupils, were so determined to get the job done, they even urged Mr Borge to join them in the school holidays after bad weather forced them to down tools.
