NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a meeting of LALESTON COMMUNITY COUNCIL will be held at Blandy Hall on Thursday 19 October 2023 at 7.00pm. The agenda for the meeting is set out below:

This is a public meeting and members of the public and press are welcome to attend to observe proceedings. An invitation and documents referenced on the agenda may be obtained from the Clerk prior to the meeting using the contact details below.

1. Council to undertake a period of silent reflection.

2. Apologies for absence.

To receive apologies for absence from Members.

3. Representation from members of the public.

To consider suspension of meeting to receive representations from local residents (15 minutes maximum).

4. Items of business that the Chair deems urgent.

To list any item of urgent business being admitted to the agenda.

5. Declarations of Interest.

To receive declarations of personal and prejudicial interest from Members/Officers in accordance with the Members’ Code of Conduct.

6. Approval of Minutes.

To receive Minutes of previous meetings held on 21 September 2023 and consider matters arising from the Minutes but not included in the agenda.

7. To receive quotations, if any.

8. To discuss Christmas Lighting – to discuss and agree on additional sockets being added to Mount

Pleasant, Merlin Crescent and B4622.

9. To consider moving web hosting from our current provider.

10. To consider investigating costings for a website content manager.

11. To receive an update from the Community Development Officer.

12. To receive details of the Chair’s Charity for 2023/2024.

13. To discuss damaged entrance to Rhodfa Mes, Broadlands.

14. To receive points raised at the Blandy Trust meeting relating to the grounds of Blandy Hall.

15. To discuss the Community Pantry.

16. To discuss preparations for annual Firework event.

17. To review usage of crockery and glasses stored at Bryntirion & Laleston Community Centre, as agreed at a meeting of Council that took place in April 2023.

18. To discuss budget proposals and make recommendations to the Finance Committee to aid the budget setting process.

19. To consider S106 proposals relating to any allocation of land from Persimmon Homes to Laleston Community Council.

20. To receive a motion to Council proposed by Cllr S Philpin.

21. To discuss the requirement to use Lalestoncommunitycouncil.gov.uk email addresses.

22. To receive any recommendations and or comments from Committees – a) Finance Committee b) HR & Personnel Committee c) Biodiversity & Allotment Committee.

23. To consider Revised Model Standing Orders May 2023 provided by One Voice Wales

24. To receive the draft minutes of any Committee meetings held since the last meeting of Council and note any delegated decisions made – a) Finance Committee b) HR & Personnel Committee c) Biodiversity & Allotment Committee.

25. To receive correspondence, if any.

26. To consider Planning Applications.
