NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a meeting of the BIODIVERSITY & ALLOTMENT COMMITTEE will be held at Bryntirion Community Centre on Tuesday 7 May 2024 at 6.30pm. The agenda for the meeting is set out below:
This is a public meeting and members of the public and press are welcome to attend to observe proceedings.
- To receive apologies for absence.
2. Representation from members of the public.
3. To receive Declarations of Interest (if any) of Members in respect of the business to be transacted.
4. To receive Minutes of previous meetings held on 06 February 2024.
5. To receive an update on tenancy agreements and payments.
6. To agree to progress with the purchase of a pigeonhole system to be used for communication.
7. To discuss plot allocation
What percentage of time should a plot holder be present in comparison with a non-same address assistance. Where do we draw the line before the person assisting, in effect becomes the main plot holder?
8. To discuss clearance of plot protocol.
9. To consider investigating funding opportunities for installation of nest boxes.
10. To consider inviting ‘Froglife’ group to deliver a talk on how they can assist / support the
development of the wildflower meadow and orchard.
11. To discuss possible plans for ‘National Allotments Week’.
12. To discuss allotment insurance details.
13. To receive any recommendations from other Committees or Council.
14. To review the Committee’s Meeting dates and consider any matters relevant to the Committee for discussion at the next meeting.
