NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a meeting of LALESTON COMMUNITY COUNCIL will be held at Bryntirion & Laleston Community Centre, on Thursday 20 April 2023 at 7.00pm.  The agenda for the meeting is set out below:

 

This is a public meeting and members of the public and press are welcome to attend to observe proceedings.  An invitation and documents referenced on the agenda may be obtained from the Clerk prior to the meeting using the contact details below.

 

  1. Council to undertake a period of silent reflection.
  2. Apologies for absence.

To receive apologies for absence from Members.

  1. Representation from members of the public.

         To consider suspension of meeting to receive representations from local residents (15 minutes maximum).

  1. Items of business that the Chair deems urgent.

          To list any item of urgent business being admitted to the agenda.

  1. Declarations of Interest.

To receive declarations of personal and prejudicial interest from Members/Officers in accordance with the Members’ Code of Conduct.

  1. Approval of Minutes.

To receive Minutes of previous meetings held on 16 March 2023 and consider matters arising from the Minutes but not included in the agenda.

  1. To receive quotations, if any.
  2. To receive any updates relating to the Warm Café.
  3. To agree purchase of a Kings Coronation Bench for Broadlands, Llangewydd Road and Wordsworth Avenue.
  4. To agree purchase of a 3-tier planter for Wordsworth Avenue.
  5. To agree purchase of larger replacement bin for Bryntirion & Laleston Community Centre car park.
  6. Independent Remuneration Panel for Wales Annual Report 2023/24.
  7. To agree on a way forward relating to the lease for Blandy Hall with Blandy Trust.
  8. To agree to purchase and install a gate for the Allotment site and consider utilising Cardiff Conservation Volunteers to cut back hedges along the access road to the allotment hut.
  9. To agree to becoming part of an active beekeeping community by providing initial financial support.
  10. To discuss and decide on plans to celebrate the Kings Coronation.
  11. To discuss the MUGA facility sited at Llangewydd Junior School.
  12. To discuss the creation of a Covid Memorial Garden.
  13. To discuss proposed 20 MPH exemptions in our ward area for submission to the current Bridgend County Borough Council consultation.
  14. To receive an update from the HR & Personnel Committee – verbal update to be provided.
  15. To receive correspondence, if any.
  16. To consider Planning Applications.
