NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a meeting of LALESTON COMMUNITY COUNCIL will be held at Bryntirion & Laleston Community Centre, on Thursday 16 February 2023 at 7.00pm. The agenda for the meeting is set out below:
This is a public meeting and members of the public and press are welcome to attend to observe proceedings. An invitation and documents referenced on the agenda may be obtained from the Clerk prior to the meeting using the contact details below.
1. Council to undertake a period of silent reflection.
2. Apologies for absence.
To receive apologies for absence from Members.
3. Representation from members of the public.
To consider suspension of meeting to receive representations from local residents (15 minutes maximum).
4. Items of business that the Chair deems urgent.
To list any item of urgent business being admitted to the agenda.
5. Declarations of Interest.
To receive declarations of personal and prejudicial interest from Members/Officers in accordance with the Members’ Code of Conduct.
6. Approval of Minutes.
To receive Minutes of previous meetings held on 19 January 2023 and consider matters arising from the Minutes but not included in the agenda.
7. To discuss use of Mobile Phones during meetings for illegitimate reasons.
8. To receive quotations, if any – Verbal update to be provided.
9. To consider and agree to the installation of 2 floor standing bins for the underpass in Broadlands.
10. To consider installing additional grit bins.
11. To receive any updates relating to the Warm Café.
12. To discuss and agree on options for the Community Pantry.
13. To agree on placement for additional Christmas Lighting for 2023/24.
14. To discuss the Masterplan for Bryntirion Playing Fields.
15. To discuss and agree on introducing recognition of members of the community who reach 100 years of age.
16. To receive an update on Bryntirion & Laleston Community Centre.
17. To consider installing a tiered planter in Laleston next to the commemorative bench which was previously agreed for both Llangewydd Road and Broadlands sites.
18. To receive correspondence, if any.
19. To consider Planning Applications.
